Located in the grounds of Sweethills Farm, the Lodge is surrounded by woodland and enjoys breathtaking views of the surrounding moorlands. Depending on the time of year visitors can hope to see an abundance of wildlife with daily visits from our local pheasant population.

The Lodge itself has been recently renovated to a very good standard. The building was originally a craft woodworking workshop. It will be let for the first time in 2005.

Sweethills Lodge is an ideal base for those wishing to walk and explore the surrounding countryside, especially the Southern Peak District and the Staffordshire Moorlands, one of Britain's best kept secrets.

It is ideal for those wishing to visit the local attractions, Alton Towers is only 15 minutes away, there are two steam railways, historic houses and visitor centers, many industrial and pottery museums and the nearby town of Cheadle boasts two historic churches one designed by Pugin.

Historic market towns such as Cheadle, Uttoxeter, Leek and Ashbourne are all a short drive away.

For those wishing to enjoy a pleasant drink in a warm and friendly atmosphere we have one local pub very much at the center of village life only five minutes walk away.
